Devoid of Logic
August 8, 2005you ever heard a teacher story? nO, it’s not a parable (who am I
anyway, Jesus Christ?)… And it’s not a fairy tale (ano, Lola
Basyang?).. But a true one.. it’s a student story. Here it goes…
Once
in our world literature class we had a graded recitation. Our lesson
about was the play Hamlet written by William Shakespearre. Everytime
our teacher ask her questions, only two to three students rise up their
hands. Imagine, were more or less thirty students in her class and it’s
obvious only three students studied the lesson and understand the play.
I’m guilty not to recite in class because I don’t want to fail the
subject. Luckily, I manage to answered her one question. At last, I
recited in class and possibly, I’ll be given a grade for that answer.
Before we leave the class, she acknowledge those students who recited
in the whole period. Ironically, the first name she said does not
recited.. yes she got a mark, a grade that she (frankly) deserve
(talagang naguguluhan ako). It’s not her fault really. But who’s fault
is it? Sa teacher?? And I’m the one who recited does not given a grade.
I think nakalimutan niya. O siguro mali yung sagot ko but at least, I
have an idea that I’ll do the talking (reciting in that way) so have
put that much expectation.
Isn’t
it unfair for the students to have this kind of teacher. This is just
my wonderings as a concerned student and a hope, that it would soon
change… soon….
